It guides users through a systematic verification of high‑visibility clothing, fall‑arrest harnesses, hard hats and hearing protection, ensuring each item meets relevant safety standards before, during and after the event.

The use of appropriate PPE reduces the risk of injury from hazards such as falling objects, slips, trips, exposure to high noise levels and falls from height. Proper selection and regular inspection of these items are essential to comply with legal duties and protect staff wellbeing in the high‑intensity environment of live events.

  • Use this checklist for: pre‑event set‑up, daily safety rounds, and post‑event equipment return checks.
  • It covers planning of PPE provision, verification of condition and fit, control of hazards, competence of personnel, emergency preparedness and documentation of inspections.
