It covers all essential checks including risk assessment, operator competence, ground and weather conditions, crane setup, load chart verification, exclusion zones, and equipment inspections. The checklist aligns with the LOLER 1998 and PUWER 1998 regulations and follows HSE guidance on lifting operations.

Use this checklist for:

  • Pre‑use checks – verify the crane and site are safe before each lift.
  • Site inspections – spot‑check crane use during the operation.
  • Post‑lift sign‑off – confirm the crane is made safe and records are completed.
